Core Classes

Our CORE classes are designed to bridge the gap between your rehabilitation and return to regular exercise.  They will improve your core muscle strength and help you regain confidence with movement and exercise.

Run by our Clinical Pilates trained physiotherapists, the classes are a blend of reformer and mat pilates, swiss ball exercises, upper and lower body strengthening, and stretching exercises.  You will use free weights, resistance bands, Pilates reformer and more!  Our emphasis is on improving the way you move and building core stability.  You can then apply this to any gym or aerobic exercise training.

The classes are small (max of 4 people) which means you get close attention at all times in order to ensure you are optimising their benefit and minimising any risk of injury.  Each class begins with a 10-minute stretch and warm-up, followed by 8-10 exercise stations and finishing with a 5-10 minute cool down and stretch.  The total class time is one hour.

Before you start the CORE classes, we will do a thorough assessment with you.  We will ask you to fill out a questionnaire about your problem and the benefit of this is twofold.  It allows us to tailor your exercise program to your specific needs.  It also provides measurable outcomes to help us track your progress in order to modify goals as they change.

So, what are you waiting for? Sign up today and start your journey to better health and movement!
