    Do you have HICAPS?

Yes, you can claim your health insurance rebate immediately. We accept gap payment via EFTPOS, credit card or cash.

  • How much is the gap likely to be?

This depends on your level of health cover and insurer. Typically the gap for an initial treatment $20-45, however we recommend you check with your insurer for accurate information.

  • Can I park nearby?

Yes, we have an allocated parking bay plus visitor parking in the undercover parking area, down the driveway alongside the practice. Please note there are two flights of stairs up from this carpark.

In addition to on-site parking, you will find ample free parking in Cornwell and Orara Streets with level access to the practice from Orara St.

  • Do I need a referral?

No, a referral is not required to see a physiotherapist but if you have one then please bring it along.

  • Do you see Worker’s Compensation cases?

Most definitely we do.  We also accept Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referrals from your GP, Third Party and DVA referrals, not to mention Medibank Health Solution referrals for currently serving Defence personnel.

  • What should I bring to my appointment?

Any previous medical documents related to your injury such as specialist reports and radiology reports/films. Appropriate clothing eg. shorts for a lower limb or back injury and singlet top for upper limb/shoulder/neck conditions. We are very conscious of ensuring you feel totally at ease and comfortable during assessment and treatment. Please feel free to also bring a friend or family member.

  • Do you have wheelchair access?

Yes, our practice is located on the ground floor at street level.  In addition, all our rooms and bathroom are wheelchair accessible. We have a permanent ramp set up inside our reception doorway so you do not need to negotiate a step.  Our friendly physiotherapy and reception staff will always be on-hand for assistance should you need it.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Focus Physiotherapy is committed to providing all of our patients with exceptional care on a one-to-one basis. When a patient cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another patient from being seen.

Please contact us a minimum of 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment to notify us of any changes or cancellations.

To cancel a Monday appointment, please call by 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. If prior notification is not given, please note the following conditions for the missed appointment below.

1st time – we understand it can happen and will let you off with a warning and a smile

         2nd time – $40 fee is applicable *

3rd time – we charge the full cost of the appointment*

[* Unless Focus Physiotherapy fills the applicable appointment time.]
