Home Physiotherapy Visits

We can come to you if you require a physiotherapy home visit within a 10km radius from our practice.  We travel with a variety of exercise and clinical equipment as well as a portable treatment bed to set up in your lounge room.

By far the most common reason we schedule a home visit is for the following reasons:

Post-op rehab

Home physiotherapy visits are perfect if you have had recent surgery for example, a hip or knee replacement, shoulder or spinal surgery.  You may be unable to drive, catch public transport or may have difficulty walking.  We will help you commence your exercise program and use manual therapy techniques to get you moving again.

Acute back pain

An episode of acute back pain can be very debilitating and worrying.  Evidence shows that early physiotherapy consisting of manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient education provides the best results. (https://goo.gl/miOXgT – accessed 7/3/17).

These strategies in turn, reduce the chances of acquiring a chronic or recurring condition. Our Focus Physiotherapists will expertly screen you for any evidence of nerve injury and will always refer you to a GP if indicated.

We can provide that important, initial session in the comfort of your own home.  Once you are mobile again you can continue your treatment in the clinic.
